Community of Practice
Meetings designed for DOT leaders.
Community of Practice (COP) meetings focus on peer-to-peer interaction between agency leaders. These meetings allow attendees to share ideas and learn from one another’s experiences leading state DOTs. The meetings are open to executive level transportation officials and is by-invitation to others.
"The safe space to share and learn is incredibly valuable… We are all learning together independently and meetings like this allow us to learn what else we might do or what has already been tried and may not be a viable path."

Technical Assistance
SSTI provides technical assistance to state, regional, and local agencies seeking to improve policy and practice. Unlike many university research centers, we have a strong orientation toward implementation. Most often our work incorporates new methods, data sources, and workflows into decision making. These programs are often grant-funded or paid for directly by agencies through research programs and consultancies.
We want to hear from you.

We work with interested partners through various arrangements, including consulting contracts and third-party grant opportunities, and we are always eager to help advance and share smart transportation solutions.
