SSTI has worked with state DOT leadership across the country for over 10 years. We work with agencies to identify and implement the strategies most effective at addressing agency needs. We do this through our annual Community of Practice meetings, technical assistance, and our reports and other resources.
Community of Practice
Meetings Designed for DOT Leaders
SSTI’s Community of Practice (COP) meetings focus on peer-to-peer interaction between CEOs of state DOTs. Our meetings involve open and active discussion among participants, knowledge sharing, networking opportunities, among other activities. These annual meetings are often hosted by a participating state DOT and are open to state DOT CEOs and to others by invitation only.
SSTI provides technical assistance to state, regional, and local agencies seeking to improve policy and practice. Unlike many university research centers, we have a strong orientation toward implementation. Most often our work focuses on bringing new methods, data sources, and workflows to decision making. These efforts often include both sharing of best practices and devising new solutions. Contact us to learn more.
SSTI helps develop and amplify emerging best practices in reports, papers, presentations, webinars, our blog, and other forums. Many of these products are the result of collaboration with DOTs, other researchers, and transportation stakeholders. We invite you to subscribe to our newsletter and to reach out if there is an opportunity to work together.
We want to hear from you.
